Read This Book

I was reading Michael Pollan's very good book "In Defense of Food," when his new book "Food Rules" came out.  I highly recommend both books, they will change the way you eat and consequently live.

I love "Food Rules," which is more of a guide than a book.  There are 64 really, really good "rules" about the way we should eat.  Very, very good  "rules."

Like rule #47 "Eat when you are hungry, not when you are bored."
"If you're not hungry enough to eat an apple, then you're not hungry."

Rule # 21 "It's not a food if it's called by the same name in every language. (Think Big Mac, Cheetos, or Pringles.)

And Rule #13 "Eat only foods that will eventually rot."

You get the picture.  Simple rules about eating that we have forgotten.  It's time to relearn those rules. Now.
