A good movie is harder and harder to come by these days, so when I actually see one it's kinda like a miracle. "An Education" starring Carey Mulligan is one of those miracles. A beautiful coming of age story that rings true because of it's constant underlying feeling of melancholia. There's a sense of lost that is constant throughout the movie. The lost of youth, innocence, and love. But something is also gained in the process; wisdom, knowledge, and hope. A brilliant movie, and I believe Carey Mulligan should win the Oscar for her performance.
