The ONLY album I'm listening to right now is Rihanna's "Rated R." If you give it a chance it will grow on you and then infect you. It's really a brilliant album and more importantly it's a chance for her to grow as an artist.
Here are my favorites, but the entire album from beginning to end is sick!
Through the miracle and help of photoshop, botox, fillers, excellent lighting, and Demi Moore's "plastic surgeon"....here we have the remaining pics of Madonna's Dolce & Gabbanna Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign. She looks cute and very well preserved, especially in the pics where her tits hang out. Just saying.
I love this look!! Scarlett Johansson looking gorge modeling for Mango. I wish I could look that good lying on the floor and upside down. Apparently the revelation is she can actually ACT!!!
"Look, this is an industry that perpetuates the concept of whoredom. I mean, you take some 16-year-old laying on the floor in chains like she's been gang-banged by a bunch of Russian businessmen--that's called an ad campaign. But when it happens in real life people freak out. I mean 'Oh my god, a woman had sex for money!" --Kelly Cutrone, fashion publicist
I love Kell! Someone who uses words like "gang-banged" and "whoredom" is a superstar in my eyes. Plus she's a truth teller!
More wonderful editorial from W magazine February 2010. The pics are simply gorge. Very, very artsy cool. Craig McDean shoots Dorothea Barth-Jorgensen and Imogen Morris Clarke, what's up with the three name models?
Gorge editorial from W magazine February 2010. Mario Sorrenti shoots supermodel Raquel Zimmerman. Those Balenciaga boots by Nicolas Ghesquiere are bananas!
The power of music is amazing simply for one reason--it is instant. You hear a song, a beat, a melody, a chorus, a lyric and it enters directly into your soul. These are my two favorite songs sung at the Hope For Haiti Now fundraiser, which helped raised $58 million in one day. Awesome.
P.s. The Jay-Z, Bono, The Edge, and Rihanna song is amazing!
At first I hated Rihanna's new album "Rated R" and then I gave it a second chance, a third chance, and it really wasn't until like the sixth chance really that something clicked in my head and I finally GOT it. The theme and sounds are totally different from her last album, which I loved. "Rated R" is still pop, but a harder, tougher, angrier type of pop. Let's call it "hard pop." Pop music that comes from getting the shit beat out of you by your douche ex-boyfriend. The album could've been called "Eff Love."
Here's an example of some of the lyrics for "G4L" one of my favorite songs on the album:
I lick the gun when I’m done Cause I know that revenge is sweet, so sweet This is a gang. Ladies bang, baby, bang. Tell me what you need? Ohh…
Any motherfucker wanna disrespect Playin’ with fire finna get you wet How i'd feel down there on your knees? Got these girls like a soilder, trippin, it’s goin down, down, down
Wow.
Here she is looking something fierce on the cover of the February 2010 issue of W magazine. And here is a super sick remix of her latest single "Hard." So good!
Natalia Vodianova (love her) and Diddy looking sexy doing the romantic noir thing in American Vogue February 2010. This almost makes up for the Jessica Biel cover, almost.
